We made a bad decision to go there, everyone else please avoid.
My friends, family, and I love Himalayas Restaurant. The food is always delicious. The service is excellent and the linen tablecloths make this a lot more than a No frills" restaurant.
This restaurant is in our neighborhood, and it is delicious Indian food. However, we rarely go there because of the service which is absolutely terrible. We were there last night arriving at 7:20 and did not leave until 9:00. There were a handful of tables occupied, and there seemed to be absolutely no excuse. I doubt we will be back. There are other really good Indian restaurants in Atlanta who have excellent service.
If I could give them negative score, I will give them NEGATIVE 10. I was there with a friend who wanted to try out Indian food, so we went there. Not only food was average, their customer service was horrible. Waiters are over smart and rude. We constantly turned other cheek to them so our evening wasn't ruined. I would sincerely suggest people, to sincerely stay miles away from this place. I read someone's review below about getting hair and piece of metal in their food, I should have read some reviews before visiting.
Excellent food and they are accommodating for people on different diets. You need to make sure they make it HOT when you order hot otherwise they play it pretty safe. Unfortunately they are losing their lease to try it out while you can . I hope they setup shop somewhere else and wish them the best of luck
The food here is so good. It was unexpected to find a good, classy restaurant in this strip mall. The service is friendly. The naan bed is really good. This might be the best restaurant I've eaten at in Atlanta.
